ABOUT THE ARTIST
Creativity has always been an inherent part of Robert Brou
and from an early age he was drawing, carving, and sculpting.
Brou studied Fine Art in college and went on to work for
Manheim Galleries in the historic French Quarter of New
Orleans, replicating fine antique furniture. It was here
that he learned the traditional craft of fine furnituremaking
from seasoned experts in a woodworking shop that had been
in operation for over a century. In 1999 Brou relocated
to Atlanta, GA where he began creating his original designs
for select clients. Brou continues to create his own designs
which are contemporary in nature and are very distinctive
for their organic forms. The material selection for a project
is closely curated in order to utilize the woods natural
beauty and grain. Although the majority of his work consists
of 'one of a kind' creations, he has also designed a line of
'limited production' furniture and welcomes the opportunity
to work with clients who have their own ideas/concepts.
It's this collaborative process that challenges and inspires
not only Brou but his clients as well. "Because
of my vision and training I have the ability to produce amazing
furniture, custom cabinetry and other pieces that will last
a lifetime."
